He slowly begins to study the condition of the City.Soon he got the job in a construction company. One day his boss asks him to meet a old gangster RK to resolve a small dispute between him and his rival construction company.Soon this meeting takes a new turn in his life and he becomes a new gangster in the City.his new tagline is “The real power lies in hiding it.”

Movie Review

The movie begins with the narration of what the underworld is and how its experience has modified over the decades. Getting you down Mumbai’s unclean, potholed streets, the cause stars have tried their best to look the aspect, but didn't work. Satya (Puneet Singh Ratn) comes to Mumbai and satisfies his buddy Nara (Mahendra Thakur) and they begin referring to his lengthy lasting partner Chitra (Anaika Soti). Satya says that she is doing excellent but she does not know that he is in Mumbai. In a absolutely unique act he informs Nara, that Chitra has began composing kavita (for a second we believed he was referring to a kid who had just found a invisible talent!).
Cut to a town in Chhattisgarh, where an innocent-looking gaaon ki chori is attracting Satya by dance to her poetry in a low-necked shirt and super low-waist 50 percent saree. And understanding RGV’s penchant, we all know where the camera’s concentrate is. In the center of the very unrelated music, a strange car prevents right at the front side of Satya and someone within says something to him. Next taken, Satya is in Mumbai! And he has come to the town with the only objective of becoming the Master of Mumbai – unique, we informed you!

Oh yes, here is another unique reality about the movie. Nara presents Satya to his sweetheart, Unique (Aradhna Gupta) – yes, that is her name and there happens to be tale behind it that she does not expose, fortunately. Unique wants to become a movie celebrity and is not shy of dance and roaming around in a tiny top and hot trousers at the front side of a finish unfamiliar individual (Satya). And Unique discovers Satya a dubious personality from the begin, because he will not disclose his previous or his last name when she requests about it. Why be so dubious, we wonder? Satya is just a discreet individual who believes lawful activity is lawful and every lawful has a purpose – or a previous – that creates him do what he is doing.
In Mumbai, Satya needs to create connections and generate income. After all, he needs to begin ‘Company’! (We will come returning to this later). In a very impractical and again-random scenario, he satisfies designer don Pawan Lahoti (Mahesh Thakur) and begins dealing with him – yes, it’s that simple. He hatches effective plots to destroy some of the most significant individuals in the nation, on the purchases of Lahoti and his buddies. Some of these killings are not only horrible, but impractical. Once relationship is gained by loss of life, Satya demands cash and the believe in of the same individuals, to type his underworld organization known as – delay for it – Company! Company is not a small company team, but ‘Company ek soch hai’; the item of Company is Darr. What was RGV thinking? Or was he not thinking? In a sequence of activities as unique as the story itself, our idol drops his buddy and spouse because Unique chooses to chirp into the police’s hearing about Satya. Now the most frightening aspect of the movie arises – at the end, when Satya is in prison, the narration indicates that there will be another tale of what happens to him, how he bounces returning, blah, blah…!
The only inspiration to look at Satya 2 is its tale – which is exciting in areas. Character blueprints are significant and if the stars were better, the movie would be too. There is certain quality in the idea, but that is let down by RGV’s shooting methods – the same old ghisa-pita close-ups and excessive long-shots, favourable music in the center of nowhere and epidermis display where it’s not required. The movie also flows over with ear-shattering gaalis, gratuitous assault and cringe-inducing minutes. If only the movie director had trapped to the program without including the extras, Satya 2 could have been a phase in the future to the payoff of RGV.

Mickey Virus (2013) Movie Review

Hacker movies are a novelty for the Indian spectators. Although the subject matter is serious, integrating intermittent cackles and guffaws within a thriller format could prove to be the perfect escapist fare for the Gen X that identifies with such subject matter. In the West, a number of films have made a social statement on the issue, but a film based entirely on hacking is indeed a unique experience on the Hindi screen.

Although the plotline and genre bear no semblance to VICKY DONOR, you somehow connect MICKEY VIRUS with Shoojit Sircar's vastly admired movie simply because of the backdrop [Delhi] and the protagonist who's looking for shortcuts to get hold of some effortless cash. These similarities apart, VICKY DONOR and MICKEY VIRUS are as dissimilar as apples and peaches in terms of matter and material.

Mickey [Manish Paul] sits in his mother's grocery store in the day and creates viruses and quirky softwares in the night with his pal Chutney [Puja Gupta]. The story takes a turn when ACP Siddhanth [Manish Chaudhari], who's on the look out for a street-smart hacker, hires Mickey to bust a colossal plan that can shake up the national capital.

While much of the first half of MICKEY VIRUS is committed to Mickey, his friends and the romantic liaison with Kamayani [Elli Avram], the story gathers momentum towards the post-interval portions. Besides, a few portions do move at a sluggish pace in this hour and one wonders why debutant director Saurabh Varma has devoted so much time and footage to Mickey and his sweetheart. Of course, it's only towards the subsequent half that Saurabh opens the cards and one realizes that the first-time director was only creating the base for the turn of events that are due in the latter half.

Saurabh sets aside the best for the second hour as MICKEY VIRUS gathers pace and alters tracks [it gets into the thriller mode], with several unanticipated twists thrown in the sequence of events. The murder, the ambiguity behind the murder, the cat and mouse game… Saurabh ensures there's no dreary or yawn-inducing moment now. The build up to the culmination is nerve-racking, with the identity of the actual perpetrators catching you completely unaware. However, once the identity of the killers is out in the open, MICKEY VIRUS loses steam, partly because the way the villains go about divulging their game plan looks amateurish and slipshod. The penultimate moments, frankly, could've been innovative like the rest of the film.
Despite being his first attempt at directing a film, Saurabh Varma's proficiency is appreciable in a number of sequences. Besides, the triumph of the film lies in the fact that it does manage to keep the viewer hooked for most parts. Music is functional, while the DoP [Anshuman Mahalay] does a commendable job of capturing Saurabh's vision on celluloid. Dialogue do elicit a few laughs at times.

Manish Paul, who's a reputed name in television circles, gets a character that's far removed from the comic parts he's synonymous with. He does a swell job of adopting the mannerisms of geeky college brats and even manages to pull off the emotional sequences rather well. Elli Avram, on the other hand, is self-assured for her debut film, but is vaguely underutilized. Puja Gupta is alright. Manish Chaudhari impresses a great deal, but Varun Badola is the real scene stealer actually. He's sure to walk away with laurels!

Raghav Kakkar [as Floppy], Vikesh Kumar [as Pancho] and Nitesh Pandey [as Professor Utpal Acharya] are appropriate.

On the whole, MICKEY VIRUS is a well-made, engrossing thriller that should be liked by the youngsters.

Boss -(2013) Movie Review

BOSS Movie Review

Boss movie is an action comedy and a complete masala entertainer which is a remake of a Malayalam film Pokkiri Raja.

Story in detail...

"Boss" is a film suffering from one fundamental problem, to wit: a lack of commitment to its central purpose. To clarify, this isn't a pretense at critical omniscience, wherein "what 'Boss' should have done" is somehow less known to the makers of the film than some random writer on the other side of the planet. No, the opening titles declare "Akshay Kumar, in & as 'Boss'." The entire point is that Akshay Kumar, with his effortless magnetism and hoarse vocal delivery perfect for delivery of tough-guy dialogue, is the "Boss." And, for the (dismayingly brief) interludes in which Kumar flexes his star power and punches bad guys, "Boss" approaches being respectable. However, those are just about the only points at which "Boss" works.
The thing about assembly-line star vehicles is that if you have a sufficiently watchable star (which "Boss" more than does), all that remains then is to keep the pace brisk, the fan service abundant, and the lulls minimal. Instead, "Boss" devotes an extraordinary amount of screen time to setting up a story about how the "big boss" (Danny Denzongpa), a sort of freelance righter of wrongs, comes to adopt a homeless young man named Surya, who is the estranged son of a schoolteacher (Mithun Chakraborty) whose other son, Shiv (Shiv Pandit), falls afoul of a government minister and his two sons, one of whom is engaged to the girl (Aditi Rao Hydari) Shiv is in love with, the other of whom is the wildly corrupt cop Ayushman Thakur (Ronit Roy). Ayushman throws Shiv in jail for defending his girl from harassment. And all of this convoluted plot unfolds, at great length, before Akshay Kumar even appears on the screen, which is itself another few minutes before the opening titles.

Despite the lively introduction of the first person in the movie to have any charisma at all, the pace then regresses to its lethargic mean, and we're left with a movie that can't make up its mind whether its hero is a larger-than-life masala hero or an overgrown kid with daddy issues, and then forgets to put its star on screen for startlingly long stretches. The movie makes the fatal mistake of believing that the character of Surya/Boss, being as he is little more than a string of film clichés as old as Bollywood itself, is compelling, when in fact he's barely a character at all, he's an excuse for Akshay Kumar to do martial arts, smile, and make bad jokes. Which he does better than just about anyone in the world. His being sidelined for lengthy flashbacks featuring Surya as a teenager stops the movie dead in its tracks, and after too many flashbacks, the movie cannot fully recover.

The movie's other assets are minimal and fleeting. Prabhudeva shows up for a very brief cameo that serves mainly to make the audience wish they were watching a whole movie of him dancing.Sonakshi Sinha turns up briefly to just exist, which is fine. Honey Singh shows up on the soundtrack bragging about knowing Akshay Kumar, which he then proves by appearing onscreen with him. That's about it, though. The remainder of the film consists almost entirely of rote clichés, saggy pacing, and misogyny (women barely appear, and when they do they're either non-entities or shrill archetypes), with a bonus rape plot point that exists solely to heighten the stakes for a male character, and which may not have happened at all.
It's a truly sad reflection on "Boss" that it aspires to be a mass-produced hero vehicle with a paper-thin plot whose sole purpose is to make the hero look cool, and fails. That failure is even more impressive considering that the hero in question is a man who hasn't drawn a non-compelling breath in his life. But here we are. The task of coming up with even one persuasive reason to see "Boss" is a daunting one. Its appeal even to Akshay Kumar diehards is limited, as it feels as if he's barely in the thing. The fight scenes are the only thing, save a couple well-lit and composed shots and a couple admittedly funny jokes, that save "Boss" from being an unqualified disaster.

Casting

Akshay Kumar plays a kind hearted gangster, apparently known as Boss and Mithun Chakraborty enacts the role of his father. Shiv Pandit is playing Akshay Kumar's younger brother and Aditi Rao Hydari is paired opposite him.Danny Denzongpa plays the mentor to Boss and Ronit Roy as ruthless police officer against Boss.

Performances

Although Akshay does his part of the job just fine, there is nothing new that we see here. It's like the same old Akshay Kumar in just different costumes and avatars. His dialogues and punch lines are just getting aren't exciting any more. He has done his bit; it's probably filmmakers that need start giving him versatile roles.

Verdict

Boss is a typical masala flick with clichés and we mostly see what we expected; nothing fresh. There won't be many surprises in the film. The point of a masala entertainer is to leave the mass pleased but Boss instead makes us restless.  Even if you leave your brains outside the cinema hall and for this one, you will still not enjoy this one. Skip this silly saga.

A masked avenger vanquishes bad guys in Bollywood musical billed as the third in a trilogy.

No disclaimer flashes onscreen at the beginning of Krrish 3 stating that “cigarette smoking is injurious to health.”

The Indian superhero movie is far too wholesome for that. This third film in a sci-fi trilogy following Koi … Mil Gaya (I Found Someone, 2003) and Krrish (2006) is billed as a family film, and its major marketing push has gone out across India and the diaspora to attract Diwali holiday crowds.
But although a Diwali opening will propel Krrish 3’s fortunes to record revenues, only viewers with low standards will be impressed: Krrish 3 has a lot wrong with it that even super powers can’t save.
Krishna, a mild-mannered young man hiding his secret identity as superhuman Krrish (Hrithik Roshan), lives happily in a hillside cottage outside Mumbai with his wife, Priya (Priyanka Chopra) and his father, Rohit (Roshan in a double role), a mentally challenged man whose earlier encounter with an alien has turned him into a scientific genius.
Telekinetic baddie Kaal (Vivek Oberoi) develops a virus designed to wipe out major world cities unless his victims pay billions for an antidote. We know the pathogen is a virus because Kaal keeps it in a stainless steel tube engraved with the word “virus.”
Kaal — who seems to speak only in long-winded, ominous tirades — unleashes his minions, including an evil-yet-strangely-hot shape-shifter named Kaya (Kangana Ranaut) and a supervillain with a Cro-Magnon forehead and a 30-foot tongue.
Parts of Krrish 3 are shockingly inappropriate for small children. In one scene, a seven-year-old virus victim dies, weeping, her face disfigured and bloody. In another scene, actual news archive footage shows African infants covered in oozing, bloody sores and covered in flies. Kaya’s face literally melts into that of Krrish; and the villain’s tongue often shoots out straight at the screen (the film is in 2D).
Roshan’s departure from the current trend of fast cuts, loud music and vulgar humor may be welcome to some, but the film’s music, by his brother Rajesh Roshan, has a tendency to sound hopelessly corny. Hrithik Roshan’s phenomenal dancing is the film’s sole saving grace.
Another disturbing aspect to Krrish 3 is Rakesh Roshan’s blatant, bordering on shameful, tendency to pad his bottom line with product placement deals, as he did with the previous two films.
Embedded marketing is ubiquitous in Hollywood films, too, but in Krrish 3 it is particularly flagrant, riddled with references to brands such as Tata motor cars (in an early scene, the hero and heroine hold an entire conversation leaning on a Tata sedan parked in front of a Tata dealership festooned with a huge Tata logo) and Bournvita chocolate milk drink (one character eats the powdered drink mix by the spoonful, its label prominently displayed).
The superhero genre is still relatively new in India; Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One did not live up to expectations at the box office, but Stan Lee is developing an animated super character called Chakra for Indian television that shows promise.
Roshan has made a point in interviews that all of the VFX, by the Indian firm Pixion, are home grown. The effort is admirable and the effects are certainly adequate, but can’t compensate for uninteresting, drawn out action scenes; childish logic and uneven acting, especially by Hrithik Roshan, who as Rohit mouth-breathes and toddles around with his head cocked to one side.
Worst of all, the movie is devoid of that one secret ingredient that makes audiences love superhero films: It just isn’t cool.
